Week 10 Recap: Love & Relationships

December 1, 2019 to December 7, 2019

This week, interns learned about love and relationships and read “Single Ready to Mingle” by Pastor Vlad Savchuk. On Tuesday, Bryson and Priscilla Still led life group and allowed interns to ask questions regarding purity, dating, and marriage. Interns were also invited to Pastor Vlad’s house to learn more about the topic of love and relationships. In addition, Hungry Generation’s worship leader, Alexandra Peiffer taught a class on time management in order to teach interns about its role in relationships.

The following interns share their favorite part of this week’s lesson along with a brief interview.

Name: Iveta Jonikaite

From: Vilnius, Lithuania

What’ve you learned this week: I learned that relationships are supposed to be practical too. There is more to dreaming about the future together in a house, having a family, and doing hobbies. It is important to realize your spouse is may already be in the process of advancing in their career with financial and life wisdom. There should be no fear of divorce, worry over money, and no stress of rushing into it. We should take things slow, make sure there is a clear plan, and always involve Holy Spirit.

Advice for people interested in HungryGen’s Internship: Be prepared and open for big changes in your mentality and spiritual life. The more you receive the character adjustments and apply the advice (which was given for your improvement), the more fruit you will see through the internship and in your life.

Favorite part about internship: I am from Europe and have not heard of many of the guest speakers we have in America. However, in this internship I took a lot of notes and learned from various well-known guest speakers, especially from some I have admired. I have been so blessed with the knowledge and resources from this internship that I cannot wait to share with my community!

Favorite Bible Verse: Romans 8:28

Fun Fact: What is a fun fact? Just joking, I love fashion! I am a stylist for models in Europe!

What’ve you learned this week: This week’s topic in internship is about relationships. We read the book, Single Ready to Mingle by Vladimir Savchuk. We went on an in-depth study about relationships. I was surprised to learn how much the book of Genesis reveals God’s intentions when it comes to the area of relationships. A great question to ponder on is are you lonely or are you alone? If you are lonely, a relationship will only be a temporary fix to a deep problem. “If we don’t discover God deeply and love God’s presence passionately white we are singles, we will have an ache in our hearts looking desperately for love.” Only God will satisfy our loneliness, since we were made in the image of God. We need him just as much as fish need water.

Advice for people interested in HungryGen’s Internship: If you are interested in attending Hungry Generation Internship but aren’t sure – just do it. Bring spending money! It is nice to travel and visit cities nearby. If you live near the area, I highly recommend bringing your own vehicle.

Favorite part about internship: Without a doubt, morning devotions and prayer.

Favorite Bible Verse: Proverbs 31:26
