Sermon Notes
Believers are urged to cultivate critical thinking over a critical spirit, recognizing that false accusations are part of their journey, as foretold by Jesus in Matthew 5:11. The Scriptures highlight the adversarial role of Satan, the accuser, countered by believers through the blood of the Lamb and their testimony (Revelation 12:10-11). In the body of Christ, unity is crucial, and the call is to pursue peace, speak in harmony, and maintain love and humility (Romans 14:19, 1 Corinthians 1:10, Ephesians 4:2-3, Philippians 2:2-3). The message emphasizes that, while internal conflicts may arise, believers should not turn against each other but collectively combat external challenges. Imperfect individuals can still serve God’s purpose, and disagreements on minor matters shouldn’t lead to the labeling of false teachers (Romans 11:29). The admonition to pay attention to what one gives attention to is underscored in Mark 4:24.
