90 Minutes In Heaven

Heaven is real

If you have not made a reservation in Heaven by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you are not yet ready for Heaven. You need to be ready all the time.

Our loved ones in Heaven don't miss us; they are expecting us. Share on X

Right before Jesus died, He was with His followers in the upper room in John 14, and things were not going so well for them because there were many threats against the life of Jesus. Jesus had a message for them:

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” – John 14:1-5

The disciples of Jesus should have known, but they did not understand. Maybe that is you today. Perhaps you are wondering like the disciples, where did Jesus go and how can I get there? Thomas was in essence asking how do I get to Heaven. This was Jesus’ answer”

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” – John 14:6

I found that out the hard way! I got killed in a car wreck on the way to church but I went straight to be with Heaven because I knew the Way. It is important to note – didn’t just know it intellectually but in my heart. I wasn’t planning to die that day, but I was ready. When I died, I went to Heaven. That is the way it works. So, don’t end this day without making a reservation in Heaven.

God Answers Prayer

Even in the darkest night, God can speak the clearest word. Share on X

“You may ask me for anything in My name, and I will do it.” – John 14:14

A lot of people prayed for me, and the Lord sent me back from Heaven. A lot of people also prayed for my daughter, but she passed on to glory. God answers prayer, but it might not always be in the way you want. However, He knows best. The first time I held my daughter, I knew she was a gift and was on loan to us. We are all on loan to each other from God. That’s the way it works. I believe in prayer. I know I am an answered prayer. We are here because a lot of people believed and prayed, and God said, “Yes”. Also, I believe in miracles and God is still in the miracle business.

“I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” – John 14:12

The New Normal

Sometimes things that happen to you can be so catastrophic that you will not be the same thereafter. You may have experienced a loss, been devoted to Christ, and fallen back, or be going through a long, dark night. I got frustrated with God; I wasn’t doing anything wrong as far as I could tell. I was on my way to church, when I got killed in a car wreck. While in hospital, I asked God so many questions until one day, while I was lying there, He spoke. God said, “This is not about you; it’s about Me and what I can do through you and for you. Take your hand and reach it out to help others because you know what it is like and can empathise with people who have gone through catastrophies.

Heaven is taking reservations; eternity is too important to postpone. Share on X

I had to find a new normal; I couldn’t live the way I was living before the accident. You need a new normal. You might be sick and tired of being sick and tired but God can take your test and turn it into a testimony. He can take you from bitter to better. Some of you reading this have to get past your pity parties, and reach out to others. Then, you will understand why you went through this.

I didn’t plan on dying at 38. But I was ready for death because I had decided to follow Jesus when I was 16. You have to be ready. Are you?

When I was lying in my hospital bed. My body was severely damaged and I have had over 30 surgeries. I was asking God, “Why? Did You bring me back for this?” And He said, “Yes, I brought you back for this. So you could stand in churches all over the world and tell them face to face that Heaven is real. Heaven is real and Jesus is the way.” I pray to meet you at the Gate – Pastor Don Piper

Every prayer matters; you may never know whose life your prayer is saving. Share on X
