There’s two types of “wonder.”

Noun: a feeling of surprise mingled with admiration caused by something beautiful, unexpected, unfamiliar, or inexplicable.

Verb: desire or be curious to know something.

I have a question for you: are you in AWE of God?

Don’t let your wondering (questioning) become greater than your wonder (awe) of God. 

The Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, Creator of all things, the lover of your Soul. Are you fascinated by Him? Is your gaze transfixed on Him? Are you captivated by Him?

If not, I encourage you to pray and ask that He reveal Himself to you in a new way. Pray that you begin to know Him with NO filter.

When you find yourself captivated by Him – His nature, heart, compassion, love, glory and His goodness – it gives you a fresh outlook on life.

You then seek to not strive to earn anything from Him, but you just desire to abide in Him. You find refuge in Him. You develop a true reverence for Him. You truly grow to love Him in such an intimate way.

This means that you should continue believing in God’s word and knowing His will – and “even if not” (if something doesn’t happen the way we believed it would), we are still left in WONDER of God. 

You can ask God “why” something happened, but don’t let that get in the way of your admiration of God.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

Circumstances give room for our faith to be sharpened. We must never REACT out of fear, but RESPOND in faith. This is when He gives us peace that surpasses ALL understanding. 

We are called to believe, not to understand. (Mark 5:36, Luke 8:50) Jesus told people to not fear, but to ONLY believe. We must come back to the basics of being childlike. This is where ONLY believing will unlock the secrets of the Kingdom.

Don’t lose your childlike wonder of God.
