“And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet and begged Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.” So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him. Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years,…Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction…” Mark 5:22-25, 29
Have you ever felt like your prayers are mot being answered? I think we can all attest to praying and not receiving as fast as we think we should. Continue reading to see in what ways God sometimes works.
1.Some people receive in a moment: for others, it takes miles.
There are times when God answers prayers very fast, sometimes even before we can voice them. And then, there are times when it may take years to see answers.
It is important to understand that when something comes easy to us, it probably was hard for someone else. Maybe your parents or grandparents or your spouse had been praying for years for what you are receiving.
Someone else's “suddenly” may have been preceded by years of “secretly”. Share on XGod hasn’t forgotten you; just because others are moving faster doesn’t mean He’s finished with you. Don’t compare your timeline to someone else’s testimony. And don’t allow someone else’s testimony to discourage you from continuing to have faith, (Malachi 3:14, Psalm 73:2-3).
2. Don’t be afraid to walk with Jesus when things get worse.
In general, when we give our lives to Jesus, our lives get better. We receive freedom from addiction, we receive healing, we receive supernatural blessings. At the same time often it is also accompanied by “all hell breaking loose”. We need to understand, now that we are on the right team, the other team will try to oppose us, to destroy us. This is where we have to focus on continuing to follow Jesus.
If our lives did not get better, then this is the time where we become better through following and being obedient to God, through building a close relationship with Him.
It is important that we believe in and have a relationship with the Giver and not the gifts. This way, if we don’t receive the gifts, our faith will stand strong. This way our faith does not falter when we don’t receive what we want or when life gets hard. The opposite is true, if we walk with Him when life gets hard, if we continue to believe in Him, He is faithful and He will exceed our expectations.
Following Jesus doesn’t guarantee immediate results; it guarantees ultimate victory. Share on XWhile He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?” As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” Mark 5:36
Fear fixates on outcomes. Faith focuses on obedience. Biblical faith isn’t just agreement with facts; it’s confidence in the character of the One who holds your future.
Faith is not anchored in results, but in a relationship with a Person whose character we trust, (Daniel 3:17, Job 19:25, 2.Timothy 1:12).
3. Don’t just bring Jesus into the room; clear the room for Him.
Jesus didn’t just show up; He showed them out. Resurrection doesn’t happen in the midst of ridicule. In order for Jesus to do the work in our lives, we need to empty our minds of fear, anxiety, negativity, and such.
Atmosphere matters; God didn’t create until there was light, Jesus didn’t heal until there was faith, bananas don’t grow in Alaska, and miracles need the right climate, so when Jesus came, He didn’t just show up, He cleared the room.
Our goal is not to only to host Jesus, but to host an atmosphere that become the breeding room for the supernatural. An atmosphere of faith, joy, love, righteousness in the Holy Spirit is what gives the authority to walk in dominion.
Your mouth is not meant to be a thermometer that only reflects the temperature of your situation, but a thermostat that sets the atmosphere by faith. Our words don’t create reality, but they do shape the atmosphere.
Faith leaves a testimony even when it doesn’t leave a trophy. Share on XJesus didn’t just enter the room; He changed the room.
Your mouth is not meant to be a thermometer that only reflects the temperature of your situation, but a thermostat that sets the atmosphere by faith. Our words don’t create reality, but they do shape the atmosphere.
Don’t compare your timeline to someone else’s testimony.
