This Sunday marked a powerful moment for our church. Standing in a new building, it became clear that what looks like an arrival is actually a starting point. As Pastor Vlad said so clearly, “This is not the finish. This is just the beginning.”
The message wasn’t really about a building. It was about people and about where God is leading them next.
Pastor Vlad reminded us that while a new season is worth celebrating, God’s greater invitation is personal: a daily encounter with Him. Not hype. Not emotional moments that fade. Not spiritual intensity that burns out. But something steady, intentional, and life-changing.
One statement stood out above all:
“If you encountered God today, you won.”
Not if every prayer was answered.
Not if life suddenly became easier.
Not if every goal was reached.
If God was encountered that day was a victory.
One Vision, One Focus
The vision of the church was intentionally simplified to one clear, measurable win that anyone can live out daily:
Encounter God daily.
Why? Because everything else flows from that one decision.
An encounter with God was explained in practical terms:
- Talking to God through prayer
- Hearing God through Scripture
- Experiencing God through worship and His presence
Church services are powerful, but they were never meant to replace a personal relationship with God. As Pastor Vlad said, “Church services and spiritual highs will not sustain you. Daily time with God will.”
Encounters Come Before Direction
A powerful distinction was made between daily encounters and holy visitations.
- Daily encounters are chosen by people
- Holy visitations are chosen by God
Encounters build intimacy. Visitations bring direction and strategy.
Before Joshua received God’s strategy to conquer Jericho, he lingered in God’s presence. Breakthrough followed devotion not the other way around.
“Before God gives you a strategy, He will cut you.”
That cutting isn’t punishment. It’s preparation.
Focus on Growing, Not Just Changing
The closing challenge was simple and freeing: stop obsessing over changing life circumstances and focus instead on growing spiritually.
Encounter God.
Growth will follow.
Change will come.
And God’s promises will be conquered.
The new building is a gift worth celebrating but the greater work God is doing is daily, personal, and transformational. And it’s only just beginning.
