Planted or Buried?

Grain seed is extremely small in size. Everything great in life starts with the seed. Even human life starts with the seed. Don’t underestimate small things. Don’t see yourself as worthless just because you are small. Small seed doesn’t frighten the farmer; he doesn’t view the seed as invaluable and insignificant. The harvest is in the seed. The forest is in the seed. There is greatness is small things.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much fruit.” John 12:24

How small seed does is made into a great harvest? Seed must be thrown into the dirt. Seed must be covered by the dirt. Seed will be in darkness. Seed will be trampled under the foot of man. Seed must die. That is the process through which the seed must go through, to become great harvest. There are no shortcuts. We want the end result without the process. You can’t have the crown without the cross. You can’t have roses without thorns and resurrection without death. But it’s not possible.

For you to go from small seed to great harvest, the same thing that happened to the seed has to happen to you. You will be thrown down. You will be surrounded by dirt, unpleasant circumstances. You will be for moment surrounded by darkness; feeling like God has forsaken you, and forgotten about you. You will be walked on by people, people will say things about you, gossip, backstab and all other things that they are good. It will look like you’re dying. It will feel like God is killing you. It will seem like you’re getting buried. But rejoice, because you’re getting planted.

Planting and burial kind of look alike, but they are not the same. You're not getting buried only planted. Share on X

Jesus was that seed, that was thrown into the ground. His friend betrayed Him. His disciples forsook Him. Religious leaders gossiped about Him. Romans put Him on the cross and killed Him. They buried Him, but God planted Him, because He rose from the dead. Now He brought a harvest of many people who are serving God.
