From Encounter to Impact

At Revival Week we had the honor of hearing Pastor Russell Johnson, and his message carried faith, boldness, and vision for our region.

He reminded us that revival is not our idea — it is God’s.

Revival is not out with the old and in with the new.
It is out with the old and in with the ancient.

God has always intended for His glory to cover the earth. The church is not plan B. It is still His plan A.

One of the most powerful moments of the message came from Luke 8 and Mark 5 — the story of Jesus crossing the sea to deliver the demoniac in the region of the Gerasenes.

Jesus did not just deliver a man.
He confronted a region.

Gadara was the gateway to Decapolis — ten cities filled with pagan worship and darkness. When Jesus stepped onto that land, He was not just helping one person. He was unlocking a territory.

Every miracle was wrapped inside another miracle.

Pastor Russell challenged us to see this new building the same way. What if this church is not the final miracle — but the beginning of many more? What if obedience in one city opens the door for ten more?

“If the enemy wasn’t so threatened by your destination, he wouldn’t try so hard to stop your journey.”

He reminded us that spiritual problems require spiritual authority. Strength is not the issue. Authority is.

“You can’t have authority over something unless you are submitted under something.”

When Jesus confronted the man possessed by “Legion,” He exposed the territorial stronghold. The demons begged to stay in the region because they were assigned there. But when Jesus dealt with the strongman, the region was freed.

Freedom in one person echoes across an entire region.

And that is what revival looks like — not just personal breakthrough, but regional transformation.

Pastor Russell declared that what began in fire must stay in fire. A church born in Pentecost must remain Spirit-filled. This is not a moment to slow down. It is a moment to follow breakthrough with follow-through.

“Don’t let your last encounter become the ceiling of your spiritual growth.”

Something has shifted in the Tri-Cities. The lid is coming off. The building is built — but the real work is just beginning.

This is not just a gathering.
It is a gateway.
