God’s Dream

My name is Pastor Vasiliy Parkhotyuk. I am the founding Pastor of Hungry Generation Church. Jesus Christ, our Lord and my personal Savior, is the Head of the church. I want to share something of my journey with you to encourage you about the power of the dream God has given you, no matter what your life may look like at present.

I am Ukrainian. When I arrived in the United States, I spoke no English and didn’t understand the culture. It felt like I was mute, deaf, and dumb. It was very embarrassing. However, there was still life inside me because I had a dream, but it felt like it was captured.

How to Help Your Dream Break Out

“She will be with child and she will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father, David, and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever. His kingdom will never end. ” – Luke 1:31-33

The Book of Matthew says Jesus would save His people from their sins. To be a savior is a very honorable thing. Better than having a large business, big family. Buildings, boats, and streets are named after saviors. Books and songs are written about them. However, it is very risky, and there are many dangers involved in becoming a savior. You need to be strong – it says He will be great.

Soon after I came to the United States, I found myself in the Toyota Center, which holds about 30,000 people. There was a big meeting held by several churches together. However, the attendance began to decline over the next few years. It reminded me of how the giant Goliath was paralysing the Israelites. I saw it all with my eyes, and a dream stirred within me: God’s dream.

Don’t stop where life wounded you, step through the pain and keep dreaming. Share on X

Don’t Abort The Dream

A dreamer dreams of great things. Don’t let the sensible part of you silence the dreamer inside you. The sensible voice has buried many dreams in the cemetery of forgetfulness. Don’t let it abort the dream God gave you, too.

The angel came to tell Mary there was hope. She could give birth to a Son and He would fulfill the promises of God for her and her family. God is the God of generations; He finishes in your children what He starts in you. Dream big enough for your children to have room to operate in. Your dream is too small if it is only for you.

Similarly, David had a dream, but everything was blocked. He wanted to build a temple for God. God Himself told him he could not do this. He continued his dream through his son, Solomon. Stand with God, the God of generations, and dream through the generations. Nothing can bury your dream as long as you don’t bury it yourself.

Pray Earnestly

All I had to offer was prayer. When you pray earnestly, it creates a magnet in the spirit that brings the right people, resources, and things your dream needs. The doors are opened in the spirit first through your prayer. Your prayer today becomes your children’s breakthrough tomorrow.

Faith fuels the dream; prayer builds its path. Share on X

Dream Beyond Yourself

To finish well, you cannot let your dream stop when you do. It has to go on through your children. Ministries, governments, and businesses fail to last when they do not pass the dream on to the next generation.

My family suffered many awful tragedies. It seemed like there was no way. No matter how big the tragedy is, nothing can stop you from dreaming unless you stop yourself. Don’t stop where life wounded you, step through the pain and keep dreaming. Don’t bury the dream — build for it, pray for it, and pass it on.
