Reflecting On The Last 24 Years

This past Sunday, Pastor Vlad shared a powerful reflection shaped by 24 years in this church and the lessons God taught him along the way into pastoring. As we step into a new season, he took time to look back honestly, humbly, and full of faith. These lessons are not just about buildings or milestones. They are about people, obedience, and trusting God over the long haul.

Here are 10 lessons that stood out.

1. Faith is inherited before it is tested
Our faith did not start with us. It was passed down. We are standing on faith built by those who prayed, gave, and believed before we ever arrived.
“Always honor the generation before you. You are standing on borrowed faith.”

2. If you stay planted long enough, you will reap
Growth takes time. Twenty four years did not happen overnight. Those who stayed planted saw fruit in the right season.

3. Slow is where you grow
God often chooses slow growth before sudden acceleration. Slow seasons shape character. Fast growth can inflate ego.

4. God does not rush His work to match our impatience
Vision excites us, but timing humbles us. What God promises often takes longer than expected, and that waiting forms us.

5. The strength of a church is revealed by those who serve
The real power of the church is not the gift of a few, but the sacrifice of many. Faithful service builds lasting impact.

6. We walk in the light God gives us
We are responsible for the understanding we have now, not the clarity we gain later. Growth includes learning, adjusting, and maturing without dishonoring the past.

7. God often uses you as the answer to your own prayer
Instead of asking what others should do, ask the Lord what He wants you to do. Obedience unlocks breakthroughs.

8. Every vision comes with God assigned helpers
God never calls us to build alone. The right people appear at the right time to help carry the work forward.

9. God supplies what we lack, not what we estimate
Our numbers are limited. God’s provision is not. He fills the gap between what we plan and what we actually need.

10. Certain seasons mark you forever
Some seasons change you permanently. They close old chapters and open new ones with undeniable testimony.
