If Jesus is your Master, you have to be like Him. Jesus Christ has given the best example of how to walk with God and live what we call the Christian life. Jesus was fully God and fully man at the same time. He was in all points tempted as we are yet was without sin. We see that satan tempted Jesus Christ. So, if the devil can tempt Jesus, He will try and tempt you and I as well. But Christ has given us the strategy on how to overcome temptation. Jesus responded with, “It is written” every time the enemy tempted Him. Your enemy knows the Bible but he doesn’t obey what is written.

” .” Ephesians 4:13

You are destined to grow into the fullness of the stature of Christ. You are destined to be conformed to the image of Christ, according to Romans 12:2. It is the will of God for you to grow into maturity and the character of Jesus Christ.

The Character of Jesus

Jesus Christ is humility itself. Micah 5:2 prophesied that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem but He wasn’t born in a fancy, expensive palace; He was born in a humble manger. This is the Creator Himself, the Ancient of Days, demonstrated humility by becoming human and coming to the earth to save us.

Before He began His earthly ministry, Christ even submitted Himself to be baptized by John the Baptist. The man who was fully God, letting another human being baptize him – what kind of humility is that!? During His ministry, He even showed the example to His disciples of washing their feet like a servant.

His humility is what makes Jesus so beautiful, glorious, and wonderful. In Revelation 5, a question was asked from Heaven who was worthy to open the scroll and break its seal? The response was worthy is the Lamb. Did you ever wonder why it wasn’t worthy is the Lion of Judah? Jesus accomplished His victories by His humility, as the Lamb.

The Constancy Of Christ

To have constancy, all the fruit of the Holy Spirit are required. Jesus was constant in His attitude, doings, and sayings. He was committed. He never changed. Jesus was constantly focused on His mission to accomplish your salvation. Even when He was being mocked, spat on, beaten, and tortured, Jesus Christ did not alter His course and mission. He kept His constancy.

Why am I saying this? These are things the angel of the Lord spoke to me concerning the people of the United States. I was shown the nation of the United States; I saw the people vast as far s the eye could see. Living in the United States is a dream come true for many but the knowledge of this has caused the people of the United States to have great egos in their minds and hearts. This leads the people to become proud and arrogant.

As people across the world look up to Americans, contrarily, Americans in general tend to look down on other nations, especially from South America. I was specifically told this, to tell you as a warning. What matters is not what is on your skin, in your bank account, or where you are but what is in your heart. Jesus died for everybody. We are all supposed to be part of the bride of Christ, no matter what country we live in or come from.

The Effect of Humility

“Though the LORD is on high, yet He regards the lowly; but the proud He knows from afar.” – Psalm 138:6

The Lord keeps distance from the proud and arrogant. We are commanded to submit to the Lord in humility, then the Lord will lift us up, (James 4:10). Therefore, when you humble yourself, the Lord lifts you up. He exalts the humble. It is beautiful to be humble. Know the value of humility.

The strength of the Lord is made perfect in our weakness. We cannot overcome these obstacles in our own strength but in the strength of the Lord.

“By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches and honor and life.” – Proverbs 22:4
