Positioning Yourself To Be Blessed
Receiving a blessing is a result of intentional positioning. Blessing doesn’t come to everybody who desires it. It is not just a lottery you win in life. A blessed life is an intentional life; it requires you to position yourself where the blessings of God can flow into your life. Think of a faucet or tap, if you want your cup filled, you don’t just wish for the water to land in it. You have to take your cup and position it where the water will flow into it. Position yourself for your blessing.
“Whenever you enter a city or a village, search for a worthy person and stay in his home until you leave town. When you enter a home, give it your blessing. If it turns out to be a worthy home, let your blessing stand. If it is not, take back the blessing.”
Matthew 10:11-13
The scripture shows us that a person or a home have to be worthy in order for the blessing to be able to remain.
Everywhere you go, you can be a carrier of the Gospel and a preacher of Good News. Share on XKingdom Principles
As Kingdom people, we know that God works by principles. Therefore, we must act on the principles of God for the blessing to rest and stay upon our lives. I want to describe three types of people who are worthy of a blessing.
Those That Receive The Gospel
In Jesus’ instruction to His disciples, He made it clear that they were to find a worthy person who would receive them and the Gospel they preached. When you receive the Gospel of Jesus, you receive Good News. When you receive and embrace the cross, and receive what Jesus did for you there, you receive the benefits of the cross.
Christianity is not an idea that we embrace but a covenant relationship with God. As the bride of Christ, everything He has is yours and everything you have becomes His. There are no restrictions and no limits thereafter. When we receive the Gospel, we receive everything that the Gospel came to bring. Blessing comes upon your life when you receive the Gospel. Even the best of us miss the mark when compared to the holiness of God. As a result, we are under sin and so under the curse and judgment of God. This allows demonic affliction and infiltration in our lives. However, when we embrace the cross of Christ, the cross positions us for the blessing, healing, provision, protection, and freedom of God.
When you embrace what Jesus did for you on the cross, you receive the benefits of God, including salvation, healing, and breakthrough. Share on XThose Who Provide For The Gospel
This is the second type of people who are worthy of blessing. Jesus describes a specific type of blessing upon those who open themselves and their houses up for the provision of the Gospel.
In modern-day terms, this could be as simple as opening up your house for a home Bible study group or prayer group. Even if you cannot lead the group, you can offer your house as a platform for people to be delivered, saved, and healed. Make your house available to be a blessing to others and God’s blessing shall rest upon it.
This can also extend to becoming a benefactor or sponsor of those who preach the Gospel financially and materially.
You will find purpose in your life when you answer the call of Jesus. Share on XThose That Preach The Gospel
Purpose is a universal desire yet not everyone discovers it. Many people want to discover purpose and meaning in life, but not as many find it.
The first blessing God provides for us when we partner with Him for His Kingdom in preaching the Gospel is we discover our purpose (Mark 10:28-30). Our purpose is to see souls saved and disciples made for Jesus.
How it looks will be different for each person. Not everyone will be on a stage or a social media influencer. However, everywhere you go, you can be a carrier of the Gospel and a preacher of the Kingdom of God. God’s blessing is attached to His purpose.
“And when Jesus, the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor.”
1 Peter 5:4
There is a crown of never-ending glory and honor that you receive when you say yes to Jesus.
One of the greatest blessings in when you wake up, you know why. Share on XWatch The Full Sermon Here:
