I see that behind the scenes, the enemy is spreading an encrypted message to our children, through emojis, videos, and social media. The message is that the world is evolving and our God is outdated, oppressive, and harsh. The devil is circulating propaganda that there is a different version of God you can experience who is more tolerant and embraces every form of sexuality.

Something is shifting in our culture. There is a sexual revelation that produced a sexual revolution in our culture. This started in the 1960s in the United States, epitomized in slogans like make love not war, free sex, and embrace your passions. They were saying we shouldn’t clean our closet but come out of the closet!

The Father Of The Sexual Revolution

Around that time there was a man who singlehandedly affected the moral spectrum of sexuality in our culture. The man’s name was Alfred Kinsey. A zoologist in Indiana University, Kenzie was called the father of the sexual revolution. He wrote two books, called the Kinsey Report which have been used as the basis to change the worldview on sexuality, especially in America. In these books, Kinsey brought up taboo topics and shocking statistics about how things we think should not be accepted are actually being widely practiced in secret and that the nation should change its laws to adapt to its norms that it is afraid to admit it has.

An example of the type of disturbing facts Kinsey produced included that 17% of farmboys have physical relationships with animals. He also claimed that over 70% of women have an affair and that it actually helps their marriage. He also asserted that over 10% of males were practicing homosexuals in 1950. However, in 2023, the Gallop Report says that only 5.6% of men in the USA are openly homosexual.

Kinsey’s Research Was Deeply Flawed

Kinseys fabricated and overexaggerated reports to try and coax the government to adapt sexual sins and perversions as cultural norms. Alfred Kinsey told the world to change their laws to fit the facts but his own facts were greatly inaccurate.

One of the most damning details surrounding the Kinsey Reports were that the majority of the 17,000 people he interviewed and surveyed were jailbound sex offenders and paedophiles.

Despite the exaggerations and flawed research, the ominous agenda behind the writings were able to have a great impact, including inspiring the founder to start Playboy Magazine.

In 1951, a study at the University of California took three groups of psychology students. One group studied Kinsey’s research as a form of education for nine weeks. After the nine weeks, the University did a sex quiz on the groups and this is what they found:

• Students studying Kinsey’s work were seven times more open to pre-marital sex and twice as accepting of adultery.
• The number of students open to a same-sex experience went from 0 to 15% and they became less swayed by their religion or parents rules and upbringing regarding sex.

The Rise Of Homosexuality

You might wonder, where did it come from? Understand this: When you teach people particular things, it opens them up to particular experiences. The Bible says you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free (John 8:32). If the truth sets us free, lies bind us. When you begin to teach a culture for a long time that they came from animals, they begin to behave like animals. They throw off sexual restraint and views on sexuality and allow children to be filled with lies regarding their sexuality.

Sexual Education In Schools

Until a few years ago, sexual education in school was focused on the basic biology, including the reason sex existed, how procreation happens, and the importance of knowing about sexually transmitted diseases. Today, it is about promoting other forms of sexuality and trapping into everybody’s dirtiest thoughts to validate them. If anybody speaks against this education, they are labeled as aggressive, bigoted and manipulative. However, in Washington State, the government has passed a law for safehouses for children who wish to partake in gender affirming surgery against the will of their parents to be paid for in taxes.

Kinsey Believed Children Have Orgasms

The worst part of Kinseys research wasn’t just that he used convicted sex offenders and paedophiles for his research. He believed and taught that children have orgasms from birth and that paedophilia and incest benefits children. How was this data measured? During experiments on children as young as 5 years of age by a group of 9 paedophiles Kinsey employed, certain behaviours were observed. Kinsey claimed that violent convulsions, groaning, sobbing, violent cries, abundance of tears, extreme trembling, fainting, excruciating pain and screaming were signs the child was experiencing pleasure. Any parent seeing their child like this would say it was a sign of torture and abuse. This is why the target is fixed firmly on the back of our children in today’s culture.

Christianity Above Culture

Let me make something very clear. All Christians, like our God love people unconditionally. We are not a bunch of intolerant haters. We are not ashamed of the power of the Gospel, (Romans 1:16).

The only sense in which a Christian is intolerant is that we believe Jesus Christ is the way, not a way. We believe there is only one way to the Father: Jesus. Do not trade your birthright for a cultural bowl of soup. What I mean by this is that culture will offer you temporary acceptance and say if you believe our propaganda, you will be accepted and fit in. So many people are becoming gay because it lets them have a cause and stand out.

Young people want to be part of a cause. They feel marginalized, suppressed, and oppressed. This is where many young people find their identity. However, understand that if you deconstruct from Christianity to fit into your culture, you will stand before God to give an account. What will you say then?

The Need Of The Fear Of The Lord

It is not enough to know about God without having reverence for God. You can know God loves you yet have absolutely not fear of God. Why? The fear of God causes us to run from sin, not celebrate it. Sin is not a weakness or an alternative lifestyle but an abomination.

We have too many people today who have sanitized the Bible to conform to their lifestyle instead of allowing the Bible to transform their lifestyle.

One of the reasons why at Hungry Generation Church, we do not affirm homosexual lifestyle is that we have seen too many people delivered from it. Jesus and His Word give us the power to be set free from that and our God does not change because culture evolves. Our God is loving but He does not tolerate sin. He judged sin on the cross of Christ; He is a holy God.

1. God’s Design For Sex 

Sex is for husband and wife (Genesis 2:24). The first time we see a man seeing a woman naked, it was a husband and wife. If you are seeing somebody naked who is not your spouse, it is a sin.

Sex was designed by God for the purpose of procreation (Genesis 1:28), pleasure (Proverbs 5:18-19), protection (1 Corinthians 7:2), intimacy (Genesis 4:1), and comfort (2 Samuel 12:24). These are the reasons God gives us physical relationship within marriage.

Sex is like a superglue in relationships, (1 Corinthians 6:16). This scripture that states if a man joins his members to a prostitute he is one flesh with her is where we understand the reality of soul ties that can affect relationships. You don’t test superglue to know if it works. You use superglue on the place you want to permanently cement something to. Sex belongs on your wedding night because it will permanently cement something. Do not practice sex before marriage. The hardest relationship breakups come from relationships that were sexual because of the superglue or joining effect of sex.

Sex Is Serving But Should Not Be Served

Sex is serving your partner, (1 Corinthians 7:1-5). It is not a chore. This verse in Corinthians deals with giving satisfaction in sex, not as a right to demanding sex or forcing it from your spouse. All forced sex, even if it is with your spouse in marriage is rape. You cannot use the scripture to justify making someone have sex with you even if they are your spouse. We are called to serve each other not force each other to meet our needs.

Sexual urges shouldn’t rule us; they should be controlled and shouldn’t be driving us, (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). Do not allow the culture to condition you to live like an animal. You can be a human being, not an animal or angel, who is an image-bearer of God who has a soul, has a body but is a spirit. Therefore, you can have desires but through the power of the Spirit, you can control those desires.

2. The Devil’s Deviation of Sex 

God created male and female in such a way that when they come together, they can make a baby. This is because we have a role on the earth to multiply and become fruitful (Genesis 1:28).

Sex becomes deviant when it goes outside of God’s design. This is what satan loves to do – take something God designed from where it belongs and put it where it doesn’t belong. Sex is nurturing when it is kept in the flowerbed – as God designed – between a husband and wife. When you take sex out of the flowerbed of heterosexual marriage, it becomes like soil on a dinnerplate.

When you take sex out of where God designed it to be, you experience guilt, shame, sexually transmitted diseases and that things don’t work or flow properly in your life. There are warning labels and instruction of how to use everything we buy today. There are certain things that are designed for a particular way of use. If we stay within those designations, the world is safe and there is love and harmony. When we take those things outside of those designations, we begin to hurt ourselves and offend our God.

Sex Outside Of God’s Design: 

• Incest (Leviticus 18, 20, 27) 
• Adultery (Exodus 20:14; Deuteronomy 5:18; Proverbs 6:32; Matthew 5:27-32, 15:19; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
• Fornication (Genesis 38:24; Deuteronomy 22:21; 1 Corinthians 6:18, 7:2; Hebrews 13:4)
• Beastiality  (Exodus 22:19; Leviticus 20:15-16; Deuteronomy 27:21)
• Homosexuality (Leviticus 18:22, 20:13; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9)
• Prostitution (Lev 19:29; 21:9; 1 Cor 6:16)
• Rape (Genesis 34:1-31; Judges 19:1-30, 2 Samuel 13:11-14).

Christians Differ From The Culture: 

“Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man – and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore, God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.” For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

Romans 1:27

The culture the early church lived in was not so different to today. The Romans inherited a lot of their ideas from the Greeks but Rome took it to another level. the culture was extremely perverted. Paedophilia was very common. Older men regularly had physical relationships with teenage boys. Temples were filled with male and female prostitutes. America is becoming more like Rome every day. Apostle Paul did not endorse it in any way; he wrote and spoke against it.

Paul breaks down the issue into three components. Firstly, man exchanged the image of God for their own image. In those days in Rome, they had idols they made with their hands that they worshipped. When they worshipped their idols, demons attached themselves to the idols and then, gained influence over those people. Christians differ from the culture because they don’t worship gods that they made; they worship the God that made them. That God has a face and the face of God is Jesus Christ. He is the image of the invisible God.

The Christian Sex Ethic

The second way Christians differ from the culture is in their sex ethics. Christians believed in marriage and sex between a husband and wife. Christians do not believe in incest, rape, polygamy and all the other practices of the day. Apostle Paul taught that once we exchanged the image of the invisible God for an idol, it leads to us suppressing the truth and exchanging it for a lie. God then steps back and gives man up to their passions, perversions, and debased mind. This is what is happening in our culture today.

Not everyone has a statue like a buddha they worship in their home, like the Romans did but we have an image of God in our mind that we created – a God that changes with the times, doesn’t tell us what to do – who only exists in our minds. This image is what demons attach themselves to today. When we make that image God, we suppress the truth and exchange it for a lie. Then we are given up to self-destruct. Today, culture says your own truth is what matters, not God’s truth.

When sailors are out at sea, they used external fixed points to guide them in the form of the stars, the sun, and the moon. Sailors cannot be guided by a candle aboard the ship. Our culture has exchanged the stars for a candle of inclusivity which is tweaked every generation. This leads the culture into paganism and occultism because we know we are not at peace with the real God; we are only at peace with the god we made.

Theology Affects Sexuality 

If your theology hasn’t affected your sexuality, you haven’t truly been sanctified. Your belief has to affect your bedroom. You cannot separate your biology from your theology.

Christ Alone Offers Deliverance From Sexual Sin

Homosexuality was not God’s design for sexual expression. God clearly called it abomination. Practicing homosexuals will not inherit the Kingdom of God. The Bible is quite clear about it.

A homosexual is somebody who identifies as being homosexual and engaged in sexual activity with members of the same sex. A homosexual finds their identity in their sin; a Christian finds their identity in the Savior. We are new creations; we don’t drag things from our old life into this new one. Jesus said you don’t sew new cloth onto an old piece of cloth or you will lose both.

Being tempted by homosexual feelings is not the same as living as a homosexual or identifying as a homosexual. Every Christian may be tempted with all kinds of bizzare, sinful, and wicked things but we find assurance that though we are tempted with sin, it does not mean we are committing that sin. Our Lord Jesus Christ was given the temptation to worship the devil in the wilderness. It did not make Jesus sinful. Being tempted with something that is sinful does not make you sinful but when you take on the sinful nature and inclination, and claim this is how you were born. Therefore, Christ has to change in order to accommodate you. In doing this, you exchange the truth of God for a lie.

Maybe you say you were born homosexual. The Bible says we were all born in sin. All of us were born with some kind of gene within our sinful nature that needs to be crucified and redeemed by Christ.

Connecting To Christ Redeems Your Bloodline

In the genealogy of Jesus, the Bible mentions four women. Three of them lived sexually immoral lives. Tamar slept with her father-in-law. Bathsheba committed adultery. Rahab was a cult temple prostitute. God changed all these women by their being connected to the lineage of Christ. Don’t forget that Christians used to be sinners who were redeemed by Jesus Christ. We all had traumas and dramas, curses and demons, but when we came to Jesus, He set us free and delivered us because our Savior loves us and gives us hope.

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

This scripture does not say look at those bad people but look at your past. In our lives, God did not become tolerant of our sin, we were transformed by God. But you were washed, justified, and sanctified by the name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are saved by the grace of Jesus, not a straight, heterosexual lifestyle. You don’t take a shower before you take a shower. In the same way, you don’t have to do any preparation before you come to Jesus. Come just as you are. He expects you just as you are and wants to wash away your guilt and shame.

What To Do If You’re Having Homosexual Thoughts

• Submit your sexuality to God (James 4:7).
• Flee lust (2 Timothy 2:22).
• Take thoughts captive (2 Corinthians 10:5).
• Forgive those who hurt you (Matthew 6:14).
• Seek deliverance (John 8:36).
