Demons are fallen angels who serve Satan (Reference Revelation 12:8-9) Demons are called evil spirits, unclean spirits, familiar spirits, lying spirits and even angels of Satan.

Since devil is not God, he can’t be in many places at once, so he does most of his dirty work through his agents – demons. We know (Reference Ephesians 6:10-20, Matthew 12:26) that kingdom of darkness is very well structured, different demons have different territories and different names and assignments attached to those names.

Demons they:

• entice
• harass
• torture
• compel
• enslave
• cause addictions
• defile
• deceive
• and attack physical body

Bible says that there is SPIRIT OF FEAR (2 Timothy 1:7). It’s a demon that causes unnatural fear that invades your life, fear of circumstances, fear of death, fear of driving a car, fear of people, fear of insanity, chronic timidity, paranoia, fear of isolation, fear of failure, fear of losing job, fear of getting married, fear of getting sick, horrors and nightmares.

There is also a SPIRIT OF DEATH (John 10:10). This demon brings constant thoughts of suicide. He is behind murder, epilepsy, self-mutilation, abortion, abnormal grief, mourning and sorrow, and convulsions.

SPIRIT OF LUST (Hosea 5:4) is an evil force behind pornography, adultery, fornication, prostitution, homosexuality. Many times this demon brings sexual dreams and appears as spiritual husband or spirit wife in the dream.

Many people don’t realize that behind addictions there is a SPIRIT OF BONDAGE (Romans 8:15). This demon stands behind addiction to alcohol, drugs, smoking, gambling and video games. Lighter addictions also are contributed to this, like addiction to food, television, phone, computer, money, work, sleep or constant tardiness.

Same goes for illness, some sicknesses are just from living the evil broken world, but others have specific demons behind them called SPIRIT OF INFIRMITY and DEAF AND DUMB SPIRIT (Luke 13:11; Mark 9:25). These demons many times are behind allergies, diabetes, arthritis, cancer, constant weakness, mental disorder, hunchback, organ failure, nerve disorders, chronic rash, and fungal infections.

Proverbs says that SPIRIT OF PRIDE goes before destruction. (Proverbs 16:18). Pride is not just an emotion, it can be a spirit. Spirit that brings arrogance, revenge, rebellion, redness, egoism, lust for power, criticism, anger, independence, cruelty, vainglory, worshipping the saints and jealousy.

This is tricky demon, SPIRIT OF PYTHON (Acts 16:16). His main assignment is to deceive. The girl who had this demon was saying everything right, but under demonic influence. Many times this spirit operates through occult like free masonry, mormonism, scientology, secret societies, new age, Jehovahs’ witnesses, eastern religions, fortune telling, chain letters, black and white magic, calling out the devil, hypnosis, numerology, satan worship, water witching, levitation, iridology, charms, ouija boards, gypse curses, horoscopes, zodiac signs, acupuncture and dream catchers.

We were created with dominion over the devil and his kingdom in the beginning. (Reference Genesis 1:26; Luke 10:19; Romans 5:17). If we fall into demonic deception we lose that dominion and we become dominated by them, like it happened with Adam. Through the grace and the cross of Jesus, we are liberated from the grip of darkness and empowered once again to trample over demons and commanded to cast them out.
