I would rather live a wild, crazy, bold life for God than just barely warm a pew. Jesus Christ had boldness. An example of His boldness was that He chose to be a carpenter, and worked with the very material all His life that eventually, He would be hung and crucified on. He worked with it anyway. Jesus was willing and He submitted to that and to the cross. That’s boldness! What a bold God we serve.
There is power in boldness. I would hate to just live a Christian life that was not filled with God’s supernatural power. If you haven’t been seeing the power of God in your life, my goal is for you to be challenged today. Boldness is a necessary trait for us as Christians to be used by the Holy Spirit and advance God’s kingdom. Boldness is a key ingredient for miracles, signs, and wonders.

“And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
Acts 4:29-30
I want to see the power of God impact your life outside the walls of the church. I want you to have a heart changed, a new confidence, and excitement to step into the will of Heaven and see the Kingdom of God advanced through you. Boldness goes hand in hand with a willingness to suffer.
“You know how badly we had been treated at Philippi just before we came to you and how much we suffered there. Yet our God gave us the courage to declare His Good News to you boldly, in spite of great opposition.”
1 Thessalonians 2:2
We have to be bold to take our Christianity into the workplace, and private interactions, to be laughed at, and labeled a Christian. The first step in boldness is a mindset that I’m willing to suffer for God. This mindset is the answer to many Christians struggle with sin. The problem is not sin; the problem is you are not white hot for God and so you are distracted. We have to be hot for God and run the race with boldness.

Romans 12:1 instructs us on how to worship God by giving Him our bodies as yielded vessels. That is a true living sacrifice and will fill your life with such purpose and joy. We do not want to add Christianity to your life; we want you to show Christianity through your life. To add something extra onto your life is hard. But when you make practical Christianity part of your daily life, you will start bearing fruit everywhere you go (Colossians 1:16). We have to be willing to do what it takes and pay the price to live for Jesus.
There are things that hinder the flow of the Holy Spirit in our lives. One of them is fear. Fear hurts more than courage. You might get moments where you shy away from boldly expressing your faith. These can be growing moments where you discover what held you back and what you could have said or done better. Don’t let the devil condemn you for those. We are in the business of getting Jesus Christ involved in people’s everyday lives and boldness is a crucial step.
We Are At War; Don’t Forget It
Boldness never looks to hide behind a weakness or use excuses to disqualify itself from service. Without joining the Christian race boldly, you cannot find personal fulfillment. There is nothing better than after having a bad day, you get a divine appointment with somebody, pray for them, and see the power of God move. It doesn’t take long to realize that your day wasn’t as bad as you thought (2 Timothy 2:3).
Boldness never looks to hide behind a weakness or use excuses to disqualify itself from His service. Share on X“Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God Himself. For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for Him.”
Philippians 1:28-29
Apostle Paul likens the privilege of trusting Christ to the privilege of suffering for Him. This is when your Christianity begins to advance in the power, dominion, and authority that God has given us to walk in for His Kingdom. How many of us are labeled ‘that Jesus person’ at work? Don’t let your struggle with sin disqualify you from being used by God mentally. The power of Jesus’ blood to cleanse our sin is far greater than the power of sin to entrap us.
I get inspired to live for God by being at war with the kingdom of darkness.
Boldness Looks Like Jesus
“Jesus fully realized all that was going to happen to him, so he stepped forward to meet them. “Who are you looking for?” He asked… Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.”
John 18:4, 6
You are who you hang out with. How do you get boldness? Boldness comes from spending time with Jesus (Acts 4:8,13). The scripture says Peter and the Apostles were ordinary men, with no special training in the Scriptures but that they had been with Jesus. Oh Lord, I pray that the readers would be recognized as people who have been with Jesus. May our church be recognized as people who have been with Jesus. How can you be recognized as people who have been with Jesus? Pray and read the Bible. The Lord talks to you through the Word and you talk to Him through prayer. The power comes in the boldness to obey the Word.
The power of God on our lives is a result of spending time with Him and then rising to the occasion at any opportunity. Share on XWatch The Full Sermon Here:
